View each other as partners, not rivals.

This expose was written by Wong Chun Wai, a journalist from the Star newspaper. Generally, this article talks about how Malaysian’s politic should be in today’s world which is co-operate between one parties to another regardless of ethnics, races, religion and background history of each citizens. The writer begins the topic by refreshing our mind on how history has proven that co-operation between all Malaysians can lead to triumph. For example, the write had given such names like Datuk Onn Jaafar, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and our present Prime Minister-Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. It tells us how this great Malay leader of ours shows a true patriot by sharing their powers with the Chinese and Indians. The writer also credited Tun Ghafar Baba who has been known never uttered any hurtful remarks against other races.

Then the article touches on the collaboration between Chinese political parties with UMNO. It tells how in past MCA leaders such as Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Tun Tan Siew Sin and Tan Sri Wong Pow Nee were branded as running dog in the past by Labour Party leaders because they work with UMNO and in present times how PAS and DAP have continued to criticise such relations, dismissing the MCA and Gerakan as weak.

The article then talks on how today demographic changes and economic strength of Malaysian had lead to high collaboration between Malays, Chinese, Indians and other ethnics in Malaysia. It share how important this group effort in order to achieve a better returns.
